Message Over the past 8 months Laura and myself have been hard at work developing the business end of Down Shift, LLC, doing things like direct mail campaigns (aka Junk Mail..sorry guys) for customers as well as print brokering, copy writing, commercial photography, etc.. and while arduous and time consuming in addition to our day jobs, its provided the nescessary financial infrastructure needed to support the magazine.

To that end, starting with the next issue (Debuting on TTNet the morning of the July 7th) everyone will discover a greatly expanded magazine with 3X as much content and a newly available free digital issue to compliment the printed copy. Subscriptions will be mailed the following Monday (July 3rd) for anyone wondering when they will receive their subscription and print copes will be available at Hot Import Nights - Orlando on Saturday July 8th for anyone planning to attend.

As you may be aware we have been running a program here for the past several years; "Tix for Pics" which has placed quite a few ttnet members at various track events around the nation in exchange for shooting the event. It is in this same spirit that I am now on the lookout for any aspiring photo journalists interested in submitting editorials, reviews, tech writeups, event coverage etc... Since it all started for us here on TTNet I thought it only fair to offer it here first.

Presently, I am looking for some one who attended ZCon 2006 that is willing to write an article and submit corresponding photos of the event to run in our August/September issue, scheduled to debut at the NOPI Nationals in Atlanta. We are also looking for any sort of original or informative content that you feel would be befitting of the publication. So...

If you are interested in becoming a published author and feel that you have the skill and finesse needed, please feel free to drop me a line @ robert.maddrey@downshiftonline.com

On another note, thanks to everyone for the feedback on the cover selection earlier in the week. Your Feedback was greatly appreciated. If you are interested here is a link to the final cover for the June/July issue. Cover Image Here
